Last weekend I made the long journey down to the all-new Rug Racers Rnd 1, the only championship in the UK using the all new ETS style carpet, I have to say the club did a fantastic job and everything looked amazing, well done guys.
Now on to the racing, from the first time I hit the track in the controlled practice everything felt perfect and I managed to consistently set fast laps the car felt perfect,
I left the set up the same and just focussed on driving the car in the qualifying runs, i managed to TQ all 4 rounds of qualifying putting me on Pole for the Double mains,
A1, the first Main didnâ™t quite go to plan as I got tagged by a back marker on Lap 8 which dropped me down to 4th place, knowing the car was fast and easy to drive I managed to get back up to 2nd place before the buzzer went.
A2, knowing I had to win this one, I just drove my own race being a little more cautious of what was happening around me, taking the win from flag to flag with no dramas at all.
